About Us

Founded in 2003, Diverse Threads is a textile and mixed media art group based in the York area.  Members are self-motivated and committed to developing their own work under the guidance of their mentor Diane Bates.  In addition to meeting and exhibiting together, a number of members are also professional artists in their own right.

They all have very different styles and find their inspiration from a wide range of sources: this makes for some very diverse exhibitions, giving viewers of their work a feast of different techniques, materials and concepts.

We exhibit on a regular basis; our next exhibition in 2018 is in the Inspired By gallery, within the North York Moors Visitor Centre at Danby, North Yorks.
