Currently I am in my second year on an experimental textile course at Lund Gallery in Easingwold.
My work is experimental within different textile techniques.
I am interested in texture, form, colour and patterns. I often take photographs to source my subject matter, especially close ups of plants, decaying leaves, tree barks. I sketch and draw objects to then create linocuts, screen prints and mono prints for textiles and paper.
Combining hand and machine stitching as well as other embellishments to my prints on fabrics.
I am a member of the ‘Stitching Together’ group at Catterick Garrison which is a community-based entity for military wives.
